Eddie has said that he is more than happy with his performance at the last race in Dorset. Eddie, who was racing with damaged ribs, finished 7th, 2nd and 14th in his three heats and only his injury prevented him from doing any better.
"I can confidently say that if I didn't have some of my focus on the injury I would have finished second behind Trevor in the first heat and I know I would have been able to hold off Martin Bond for the win in my second heat. Certainly my third heat would have been a little better and there is no way I would have faded so badly in the final."
Eddie is also pleased that he managed to get through the day without incident. "This is, I think, the first race this year where I haven't either been taken out by some arsehole or simply spun myself. Just as well because the condition my ribs were in I don't think I would have been able to take it." |
