| My Dad |
What can I say? There is no way I would have got
anywhere in life without your love, support and wisom. You have
played such a huge role in both my racing and professional careers.
Because of you I was also able to settle down in my own home and
gain true independence. You have passionately followed my racing
for
so long, braved the worst weather, travelled hundreds of thousands
of miles, seen me win, seen me lose, and have always been there
for support. You are always there to force Budweiser down my neck
at post-race "debriefs", then of course there are the lads nights
and marathons! You are the
best
father
anyone
could
ever
hope for
and
a great
friend!
|
| |
| My Mum |
| You have given me unrelenting and selfless love and
support over the years.
You couldn't have done a better job of raising two boys, especially
one as hyper-active and difficult as me. You have always been the
one who worried about
me
and took care of
me when I got hurt. You are always there to give me words of encouragement
with the racing, despite how much I know it scares you. You
have been
the
perfect
mother. |
| |
| My Brother |
| Well you have always been a pain in the arse! But
seriously, you have also been a fantastic brother and I value the
bond we share. You may never realise just how much you honored me
by asking
me to be
the best man at your wedding. You are always there for sage advice
and can always make me laugh with your repertoire of impersonations.
I look forward to becoming Uncle Ted! |
| |
| My Grandad - (24/07/14 - 19/03/03) |
| Someone I will always have a tremendous amount of
admiration and respect for. He had an incredible, albeit difficult,
life and somehow came out stonger and with no bitternesss. He was
loved by many people, especially his family. He will never
know just how much he helped me in life. You are dearly missed! |
| |
| Mark van Keulen |
| One of my best mates. You have been a pillar of support
over the past few years and have always been there to give me moral
support and
advice - usually over a few pints in the pub. You have seen me
through some dark times over the years. Just a fantastic bloke and
the best
mate
anybody
could
ask
for and it's great to see you so settled down and happy... even if
you do live up North now! |
| |
| Stuart Weatherley |
| You have played an instrumental role in not just
my racing career but my whole life. You introduced me to motorsport
in
the first
place
and, for a long time, were the benchmark to which I measured my competitiveness.
Remember the marathon bike rides, winning the Indy 500 on the PC
and me beating you in the rowing competition at the gym? You have
played an invaluable role in getting me to where I am in life today.
A genuinely
nice
person
and
a great
friend. |
| |
| David Green |
| One of my closest and longest standing friends (a
tough role for anyone!), who was present on that fateful day at Silverstone
in 1993 when I first sat behind the wheel of a kart. You are always
there for your friends and have always been so understanding - even
when
some
of
your friends
can't make it to your
stag night
because
they are racing,
or
forget your birthdays completely and forget to turn up to your wedding...
You have played a big part in my life and I truly appreciate your
friendship! |
| |
| Stephen Deuchar |
| Obviously a big thanks to all of the original members
of IMSD Racing but special thanks to Steve who gave me a break in
Endurance racing and was one of the first people to recognise my
talent and take me seriously as a driver and take me to International
stardom! You are a fantastic team leader and team player with great
organisation skills, as well as being an all round nice bloke.
I have
no doubt that the Deuchar/Hall partnership will continue in some
form in the future. |
| |
| Peter Banks |
| You have played a major role in my life in a relatively
short space of time. I sometimes maybe don't fully appreciate how
good you have been to
me over the
years - especially putting up with my "tourettes" syndrome
day after day! I can't imagine how dull life would be without your
didgeridooing,
doobrey
wot-notting
and
walking
out
of
the room
in
mid sentence...
You are a good friend and a wonderful human being! |
| |
| Adam Gibson |
| You played an invaluable role in my professional career
- setting a bench mark for me. I have fond memories of our short
time working together, like having paper aeroplanes hurled at me
day after day and the faithful "var1"! After 5 years in
hiding, you
have
subsequently
become one of my closest friends. I always look forward to the curry
nights, where we put the world to rights over a few beers. The Force
is strong with you! |
| |
| Anthony Spencer |
| You must
have come to watch virtually every race since 2003, often travelling
many miles. Admittedly you just like burning up the roads in your
flashy toy but it's always
great to see you
at the races and I appreciate your support. |
| |
| Everyone at Frontmedia |
| People who took a huge risk on me, showed
great faith and allowed me to fulfil my full potential. You are a
great bunch of guys and thanks to you I have managed to achieve much
in both my careers. I would especially like to thank Simon for giving
me the opportunity in the
first place
(I
still
remember
coming
round your house begging for a job!), and
Stef, who was always interested to know how the racing was going
and who plucked me from the obscurity of pub karaoke to be lead singer
in a real band... |
| |
| Everyone at Club100 |
| Especially JV who, through his vision, has allowed
me to enjoy great success over the years. Thanks to the sprint team
of Steve and Jel Dart. The ever watchful eyes of Russ and Big Mick.
The test drivers, Niki, Barnaby and Mason. Big thanks to Carson and
his team of great mechanics and to everybody else who works behind
the scenes. You all do a fantastic job. |
